I'm Cat. I live here, and I drive for a living.

I'm Cat Magill, and I drive people around the west of Ireland for a living. I'm based in Doolin, County Clare, and I hold a full SPSV limousine licence, which is the licence that lets me do private hire. In plain terms it means every job is booked ahead and the price is agreed before you get in.

What I really sell is slow travel. Airport runs, sightseeing days built around whatever you actually want to see, drop-offs at hiking trailheads, and private hire for as long as you need me. If you want to stop for a quiet pint, or pull in for a dip in the Atlantic, or spend an unhurried hour in the Burren instead of ticking off another stop, then that is the day we have. You'll get the local craic either way.

Before this I guided hiking and kayaking, which is how I know the trailheads and which walks are worth your morning. The car is comfortable and fully air conditioned, it takes up to four passengers and their luggage, and I will go anywhere in Ireland, not just Clare.

How I work

Everything is booked in advance. I am licensed as a pre-booked operator under Irish SPSV rules, which means I cannot be flagged down on the street or picked up at a rank, and I do not run a meter. You tell me what you want, I give you a price, and that is the price.

What I am not

I am not a big company with a row of black cars and a call centre. If you want somebody in a suit who says nothing for an hour, I am the wrong choice. I will tell you what that ruin is, why the fields are walled like that, and where the good chowder is.
