Sample day
Go where the locals go
A daytime pub tour at a slow pace, with me doing the driving so not one of you has to sit there on a lime and soda counting the hours.
This is the day people ask me for once they have done the Cliffs. No sights to tick off, no clock. A swim, a few good rooms, something to eat, and the craic on the road in between. It is booked ahead like everything else I do, so the price is agreed before you get in and there is no meter running while you finish your pint.
I am the sober driver, and that is the whole point of it. Everybody in the car gets the same day. Nobody is watching what they drink, nobody is watching the road, and nobody is arguing about it in the car park at the end.
How the day runs
First
A dip in the Atlantic at Clahane shore
Bring a towel. It is cold and it is the best start to a day you will get. Anyone who would rather watch can watch, nobody is made to get in.
Then
Egan's
Dry off, warm up, and have the first one sitting down. This is where the day settles into its own pace.
On to
Ennistymon, for one in Eugene's or Cooley's Bar
Two very different rooms and both worth your time. I will tell you which one suits the mood you are in when we get there.
Later
Pizza and a pint at Pot Duggan's
Somewhere in the afternoon you need feeding, and this is where I would do it.
Finish
Back in Doolin for the evening
I drop you where you are staying, or into the village for the session. Either way you are walking home, not driving.
That is the order I would run it in. Swap a stop, drop one, or stay longer somewhere you like. It is your day and I am not on a schedule.
Tell me your dates and I'll price it.
Everything I do is booked ahead, so the price is agreed before you get in and there is no meter running. WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach me.
